So, in about an hour I will be getting in the car with my family off to Minneapolis, Minnesota. The biggest difference from this trip compared to other ones is that a bunch of boxes of my stuff won’t be coming back with my family this time. Oh, and me too.
It’s kind of weird knowing that I’ll only see my family sporadically. It’s also kind of weird knowing that I’ll be with another person I’ve never met before almost all the time. That would be my roommate, Sokunthearith Makara. I’ve only talked to him a little bit through Twitter and Facebook. He seems alright, and is sort of like me in some ways (some people online called him quiet in real life). Anyways, just some general fears before I move in:
-The bathroom will suck in some capacity
-The distance from Middlebrook Hall to everywhere else will be a big pain in the ass
-I will go crazy from not having enough alone time
-I will become a social hermit due to wanting some decent alone time
-I will become a social nut and only be with friends when I should be doing homework
-I will be unable to balance my family, old friends, and new friends along with everything else
-I will have brought too much stuff
-I will have not brought enough stuff
-I will have all my valuables (TV, game systems, laptop) stolen
-The professors will all be terrible in some capacity
-The food will all be terrible in some capacity
-I will start overusing certain words in some capacity >_>
Er, I think I’ll stop for now. I’m going to shoot for some kind of update hear several times a week. I might try some video diary type things, who knows.
